I love cookies and cookie dough to some extent. However, I am trying to lose some weight and wouldn’t gobble down traditional cookies without feeling some sense of guilt. That is how I chanced upon this cottage cheese cookie dough recipe by Jake Cohen. Fewer calories and an interesting flavor. This is how I tried it out.

Simple No Protein Powder Cottage Cheese Cookie Dough Recipe
Traditional cookie dough is yummy but not that healthy. Cottage cheese edible dough is a great alternative if you are looking for an interesting flavor that is a bit healthier. While most recipes take pride in making it a high protein blend, today we are going to look a tangy delicious dough that you can eat raw or baked and doesn’t have the boosted protein powder content.
Equipment
- 1 Blender
- 1 Bowl
- 1 Spatula
Ingredients
- 1 Pound Cottage Cheese
- 1/4 Cup Maple Syrup
- 2 Teaspoons Vanilla Extract
- 2 Cups Almond Flour
- 1 Cup Chocolate Chips
Instructions
- Add the cottage cheese, maple syrup and vanilla into a blender and slowly whip it until it forms a very smooth blend1 Pound Cottage Cheese, 1/4 Cup Maple Syrup, 2 Teaspoons Vanilla Extract
- Transfer all the pureed mix from the blender into your bowl and gradually add the almond flour while stirring and folding with your spatula2 Cups Almond Flour
- Add the chocolate chips and mix them in without mashing them up1 Cup Chocolate Chips
- Your no protein powder cottage cheese cookie dough is ready. If you want to make it a bit firmer, you can add some almond flour and blend it in perfectly
Notes
The cottage cheese cookie dough is ready to serve. Use a spoon to portion it and people can dig in using spoons too. Sprinkling on a couple of fruits and nuts or serving it with wafers could make the presentation better.
If you have any leftovers, store them in an airtight container or zip-lock bag and put them in the fridge.
